Got the inks on Gabe and Tycho pretty much done. I'll post another once I finish a few more details and the bird.

It's looking good, bro.

I'm a big fan of the comic in book form, what with the commentary and extras an all.

Which reminds me, I need to get book two signed next con.

I agree with halbred. This cover is so mundane compared to the other book covers that the bird would be a nice way to tie it in to the stylings of the other covers.

Either that or the bird can be a Roman Catholic saint. Ho ho, ha ha, it is to laugh.

Looks awesome. I would rather a normal bird than a crazy weird bird, because if it was a weird bird it would kind of break it. The point is that all birds are weird, not that weird birds are weird. Putting in a weird bird would suggest that only weird birds are weird.

That's some Zen stuff right there.

Heh, without the bird in the frame it looks like Gabe is getting creeped out that Tycho is trying to play some discrete, under the table footsie with him.

Tycho has a bird fetish?

No, I believe he has a giraffe fetish...

According to a later strip, he has botth fetished.

Anyway, gabe, I realy wanted to ask a favor (and I'm sorry if it's too much to ask)- Can you make a movie of the coloring process like you did with the Boba Fett inking? the last one REALY helped me. Again, I realy sorry if it's out of place and all, but if you can that would be awsome.

A gift like yours should be used to draw attention to the lives of the saints!

Was there an actual place that inspired the furniture for the cover? The table and chairs look really cool.

I love it, you're like a walking ad for the WACOM.

I really dig the work, the expressions especially. May I inquire as to your image and brush size before shrinking them down? I tend to work with the same technique (that is to say, Photoshop brush tool, large size, Wacom tablet, etc.), but the lines never look good enough.

you should check out Nate Wragg's blogger page. The man knows his stuff.

Hey man, I really like how it draws attention to the lives of the saints. Way holy.

Love your varying line weight man; good stuff.

I'm an art noob so I could be wrong but I see Tycho's left foot on the ground right in the shadow of the table yet the foot itself if brightly illuminated and the shadow only hits his leg near the knee. It stuck out immediately when I looked at the picture.

do you magnify the image when you ink in photoshop? (to get more detail?)

this blog is AWESOME. I'm soooo gonna draw in photoshop now :) :)
