Not to be picky, but is your druid using a staff and a mace simultaneously?

OP!

His hands are twice as big as his feet, man. Will we be seeing Tycho's Draenei female?

We look forward to ganking you soon =)

You might want to fix up his right hand, it's way to small.

Great linework Gabe. Been a big fan of your stuff. I think the hands are fine, but his feet don't seem to be planted properly. Great Job on the hunter too. Nice action lines. I'm lookin forward to seeing more.

bendyr: I think the staff is actually an offhand. Love the lines, Gabe.

Hey, great work, man. I was just curious as to how you get such a clean line. I assume you use photoshop, but when i use it i get a jagged line. Is it all brush control or is there another program in use?

Kanjiwarrior said...

he uses Photoshop, if you scan in your drawings around 300dpi you shouldn't get jaggies when you ink it.

very nice illustration. Too bad it's wasted on a night elf

Is there a setting in photoshot to clear up shakey lines, yours always look so smooth.

I've been following penny arcade for a few months now both because I find it entertaining and because I love the artwork.

I've tried doing illustration work in PS with varying degrees of success and I was wondering if you could help shed some light on your inking process. I've seen the youtube videos but I'm still left wondering what sort of tablet you use and what brush settings you typically prefer.

There's a good chance I'll find my own preferences and so forth but knowing what other people do is also a huge help.

Thanks.

Great characterization as always. Been a reader for years and I've enjoyed seeing your style grow.

From one artist to another, keep it up!

Very cool artwork here!!! This is my first time visiting the site - I jumped here from Dennis’ site at mydrawings.com via the extralife website! Check out my drawings using the tool over there - it’s a really dynamic, organic drawing tool and your fans, friends, and fellow artists might like toying around with it! I think it would especially be good for the young ones!! THey can kind of archive their art automatically and share it with friends and fam at home and school - and even keep a chronicle of how they get better and better. I’ve been using the site for a couple weeks and I love it! The graininess of the pictures is really cool. AND you can create murals and see them on the “world” by clicking “world view.” It’s something you might like to doodle with as well. I like to challenge myself to try to recreate pictures with diff online tools:

The first is:
http://www.mydrawings.com/view?x=586554000&y=-16454400

The second is more challenging! But worth a try to see if you can recreate images using it. The site is hosted by Allposters.com (yeah, that popular place to get all the cool posters!). The cool thing about it is it actually records every stroke so you can see the art from beginning to finish! The bad thing is - the recorder doesn’t always work! ARGH!! but this is the art I created from that. CHeck it out as well:

And here is an actual record of a drawing I did (just click the title links):
