Wow, that's something I could see hanging on a wall.

Anonymous said...

Brilliant.

That is so incredibly cool. I put it on my Zune as the background. It works very well.

I love their work everytime I see it. Their colorations are gorgeous. You should definately talk to them about releasing some of these as prints.

Unknown said...

So beautiful! I love the sort of ethereal effect on the butterfly, as it breaks the surface.

That's really well done! I've always liked the way Imaginary Friends has treated your art.

I love when you get them to do this sort of thing, always lands on my desktop.

And because I miss it so much, I would absolutely love to see something new with the Pac-Man watch. Anything at all, after seeing the picture pack with the pissed off Pikmin.. I crave it.

This is gorgeous, and I'll throw my voice in with those who'd love to see this as a print or a poster.

You are something special. I cannot get over your talent.

Anonymous said...

man. I really dig this.

Eric said...

WOW indeed.

I'm always torn between jealous awe and jealous weeping when I see stuff like this. =P

Unknown said...

Absolutely wonderful. I need to figure out some way to align this for a desktop background.

Anonymous said...

I always love Twisp and Catsby, and this one is great. The colors are indeed gorgeous as well, particularly the water/sky (or is it the sky/water? The one at the top, anyway). Was it your choice to flip them, or theirs?

Anonymous said...

I demand a poster!

Matt Swanson said...

Holy CRAP Gabe, that's stunning.

Anonymous said...

I love it I love it I love it

Please, please make it into a poster!!

Make this the next print. I the first was a Twist & Catsby image too (Tea with the Moon), but this is worth it.

The CTS cel was OK. But I noticed it sold really slow compared to Tea with the Moon, which sold out in approximately 5 seconds.

The reason isn't that CTS was a less gorgeous print - it was because Tea With The Moon looked like art that could hang on a wall, and CTS is, when you get down to it, a drawing of a ninja. Which isn't exactly sophisticated - it's just it looks more like a poster that'd go in a college dorm than something you frame in your living room.

When I want a cel/print, I want something I can hang in my living room. Surreal is fine, and your artwork is beautiful. But when my friends come over, I want something that looks more intellectual than a ninja.

This is it. I want this on my wall so bad. I want this in my living room.

Let me buy it as a print.

Unknown said...

ahahah i need that on my wall

John said...

To echo the thoughts of others before me, I would love if this was offered as a print and would proudly display it in my living room.

Truly a work of art.

Unknown said...

I love that. I want that as a poster. Like strong desire.

Great work! :)

Anonymous said...

Nothing much to add that hasn't been said already, but please, for the love of everything that is good and holy. Make this accessable to us somehow.
If it wasn't because they're as close to as make no difference impossible to order before they're sold out, a laser cell would be preferred.
But should it become available in poster form I'm not going to cry my heart out.

Anonymous said...

As others have said, there is cold, hard cash in my wallet that burns to be traded for a cel print of this piece.

Just please, for the love of God, make more copies than did for Tea with the Moon. If you only make 500 of these you'll need to hold a lottery where the tiny fraction of the potential buying base gets to have one.

(yes, typed by one who is still bitter he missed the T&C cell by 24 hours)

mcc said...

This is really amazing. I always love the twisp and catsby stuff when it shows up as a strip, but this is good enough I would be legitimately interested in it as a poster or something...

Anonymous said...

I would say "Please make a poster or laser cell of this!", but would I be heard over the mob already shouting it?

Would it help if I waved a $20 over my head?

Simon said...

Sweet crikey this is awesome! 33rding the requests for a poster!

Anonymous said...

O_O

Wow! Straight to my desktop, but I'd love to put it on the wall in a frame. Gogogogogogo

jonny.ax said...

This is amazing. I'd also like a print, or failing that, at least a desktop wallpaper.

Anonymous said...

I'm with pretty much everyone else here on the request for a print or wallpapers.

I just can't get enough of T&C, great work as always!

:P :D said...

Gabe, I love your T&C artwork because it takes me a long time to fully absorb each piece. I wonder how much time it takes you visualize such spectacularly bizarre and subtely exostential compositions. If I had this in poster form, I would clear all the shit out of my room except for one chair, put the print on the wall and just stare at it for hours.

Anonymous said...

Love this pic! Wonderfully surreal and playful! I hope you offer it as a print sometime soon (when I have money).

Jackson said...

Oh, Twisp and Catsby. Always a crowd-pleaser. Ironically.

Enter Name Here said...

If you made a laser cell of this, I would buy it. Possibly twice (one for the office, one for home). Seriously.

Anonymous said...

Wow. Just amazing.

This is a truly beautiful piece and I would love the chance to snag a quality print of it.

Awesome stuff. :-)

F'ing sweeeeeeet!

Easily my new favorite piece by Gabe. I will chime in, this is the first piece he's done of which I would buy a poster. Let's make it happen!

This is my next iPhone wallpaper.

As soon as I get tired of "NO U" Yotsuba.

Unknown said...

Please, Gabe. Let me pay you for this.

Amy said...

Oh... that's *gorgeous.*

Twisp is fuzzy. He can have hugs.

I'd buy and frame this.

Mike Matteson said...

I'm a huge fan of the Catsby and Twisp strips. I had the one with the balloons as a desktop for a long while and I have had profs stop class to ask about the artwork.

Alex Li said...

Is Twisp the cat and Catsby the devil?

Anonymous said...

That is really impressive. I would like to add myself to the list of people that would buy a print based on this!

Anonymous said...

Can we get this as a desktop? Please!

emily said...

gorgeous! i totally love t&c, down to the very first appearance... "ham!" is now a common response of mine around the office.
... i don't know if it would be viable (since i don't know how big their fanbase is), but any chance of a t&c-specific artbook someday?

Anonymous said...

How about auctioning off the original for Child's Play?

Unknown said...

That is 15 kinds of great. I would buy a print of that in a heart beat.

Byren said...

Brilliant concept that's really well pulled off!

gazebo said...

Please make a desktop wallpaper of this, I love twisp and catsby

Unknown said...

I would absolutely buy that as a poster.

Anonymous said...

This one is particularly great!

Nice colors and weird composition.

Let it not lie as digitalia. Please transpose onto more rigid and tangible material to sate ou immeasurable needs.

Unknown said...

This really is a top-notch, fantastic piece!
I second/hundred the suggestions to make this into a print or poster!

Unknown said...

Amazing.

Michael said...

That colouring is incredible.

I love your concept as well, Gabe :)

Unknown said...

Prints at ComicCon?? Please?

Unknown said...

I'm not usually the biggest of fans of Twisp & Catsby, however, I don't know why, but this one seems to have caught my eye. Were I given the opportunity I would buy a print of this in an instant. Maybe my tastes have changed with time, I guess its time to go back and re-check out T&C of old

Avi said...

Holy monkey that is a sweet picture!

Anonymous said...

Be sure and link to this from today or Friday's front page of Penny Arcade. I'm sure some fans don't know about GabeArt and they definitely need to see this! Also, please make a laser cell, but be sure and make enough so those of use who want one can get it. I actually bought the Dr. Raven Talon Darkblood print, but what I wouldn't have given for Tea w/ the Moon...

ToastyKen said...

Yes, I'd totally buy this if it were a print, too. No logos necessary. It totally stands on its own.

Anonymous said...

I would love to see this as a penny arcade t-shirt i would buy it instantly. Also with this picture u are quickly becoming one of my favorite artists.

Jensen Peoples said...

This is outstanding. I'd hang this on my wall in a heartbeat!

Anonymous said...

Please make a print!

Anonymous said...

Print! Print! I join the chorus calling for a print!

That so absolutely rocks.

This is quite amazing. I've always been a big Twisp and Catsby fan, wanted to throw out some more praise your way. And of course to the Imaginary Friends Studios for the color work.
